Combined Electrical supportings the 'Women in Power' career program

Combined Electrical are proud to announce we are supporting the Power Career Program “Women in Power”.

The Power Career Program is a 2 year NT Government initiative designed to generate sustainable employment in the Electrical Industry for up to 14 Territory women from Darwin and the surrounding areas.

The women will spend 4 week blocks in a practical work placement at Combined Electrical, providing them with hands on experience in the workplace. This placement will be complemented by a theory training component at Charles Darwin University. The training will enhance the women’s problem solving ability and understanding of environmental procedures in the energy sector.

Combined Electrical will support 2 females for each block, meaning 6 different females will gain valuable onsite training. This program provides the women with an opportunity to experience working in a local Darwin business that provides mentoring and monitoring to support their career growth.

This contribution by Combined Electrical enables women greater opportunities to gain relevant qualifications in electrotechnology, improving career options.
